Jackie:  Hope your surgery went well and you have a speedy recovery.  Below you will find a summary of what we have done..  Do not feel that you have to keep up, but if you can and want to, the information will be here.

Tuesday, Sept. 25:  watched a video, The Roman City and filled out a learning log.  You do not have to make this up.  If you want to, you may take it home and watch it there.

Wednesday, Sept. 26:  Roman History #3 Practice Test and reviewed vocabulary on p. 71.  Checked the story, "Gallia," p. 65, lines 1-9 in a color check

Thursday, Sept. 27:  Roman History #3 Final Test and finished checking Gallia, p. 65.  I explained Latin commands, known as "imperatives."   There is a singular and a plural form.  The singular is spelled just like a verb stem (form by dropping the -re from the infinitive.)  To make them plural, add -te to the singular.   There subject is "you" UNDERSTOOD.   See p. 73, read the section on imperatives.   Do the Oral Practice as a written exercise on p. 73 and ex. A and B on p. 74  (that will cover homework through Monday.)  You can e-mail me your work if you think you will not be back soon and I'll correct it and send it back.  My e-mail is shickman@k12k.com

Friday, September 28:  Today we practiced imperatives in the bellwork and color checked ex. B &C, p. 69.  We did a teacher check for ex. A, p. 74.  I handed back the Roman History #3 Test and we went over it.  The homework is ex. B, p. 74.  Hope your leg is mending quickly.  Bene celeriter para! (Get well quickly!)
